Questions owners ask before they rebuild

Rankings and search
Will we lose our Google rankings?
Nobody can honestly promise rankings, and rankings often wobble for a few weeks after any move. What we control: we map every URL that has earned traffic, keep titles, descriptions and structured data, redirect anything whose address changes, and watch Search Console for 90 days. If pages drop out of Google's index because of the move, we fix it free.
Read the guide: Moving from WordPress to a modern website without losing your Google rankings
Do you keep our existing URLs?
Wherever we can, yes. We list every address your site has, from the sitemap, a full crawl and Search Console. Pages keep their address unless there's a reason to change it, and every address that does change gets a permanent redirect to the page that replaces it.1
How long do the redirects stay in place?
Permanently, by default. Google recommends keeping site-move redirects for at least a year; on a static host they cost nothing to keep, so we don't remove them.2
Will our site show up in ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google's AI answers?
Nobody controls what an assistant cites, but you can make your site easy to read and quote. Every page we build has structured data saying who you are, where you are and what you offer; pages load fast and render without scripts; and the site publishes an llms.txt summary for AI crawlers.3
Does a faster site rank higher?
Speed is one of many signals Google uses, through Core Web Vitals, and rarely decides a ranking on its own. Its bigger effect is on what visitors do once they arrive: pages under two seconds convert 57% better than pages taking three to four.45

Ownership and editing
Can we edit the site ourselves?
Yes, and that is the point. You get a visual editor: click text, change it, press publish. There are no plugins to update and no WordPress admin exposed to the internet: the editor sits behind two-factor sign-in, every edit is saved as a versioned draft you can roll back, and publishing rebuilds the site in under a minute.
What if we want to host it ourselves?
You can export your content and your site's code at any time, and it runs on any static host: Cloudflare, Vercel, Netlify, S3, or your own server. We hand over a runbook. The design kit it is built on is licensed to you for that site, permanently. Our visual editor stays on our platform, but the exported site is a standard Astro and React project that any web developer can edit.
Who owns the domain?
You do. It stays registered in your name. We only change where it points when the new site goes live.
Can several people edit, with different permissions?
Yes. The editor has roles, so someone can draft changes for someone else to approve and publish. Every published change is saved as a version you can roll back.
What happens if we stop working with you?
You keep the site. Export the content and the code, and any web developer can run and change it. There's no licence fee to keep it online, and no lock-in. The visual editor runs on our platform, so after a move changes are made in the code.
Hosting
What does 'free hosting on Cloudflare' actually mean?
Static sites run on Cloudflare's free tier, served from over 300 cities with no bandwidth bill. There is no server to maintain. If you outgrow it, the paid tiers are inexpensive, and we will tell you before you do.
What does a static site mean?
Every page is built in advance and served as a file, rather than assembled by a server and a database each time someone visits. That's why it's fast, and why there's no PHP, plugin or database on the public site for anyone to attack.
Can a static site still have forms, search and booking?
Yes. Forms run on small serverless functions with spam protection, search runs in the browser from an index built with the site, and booking tools embed cleanly or link to your existing system.
What about email?
Your email stays where it is. Moving the website only changes the records that point to the web server; the records for your mailbox stay as they are, and we check them before and after the move.
Accessibility
What are the web accessibility guidelines?
The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG), from the W3C. Version 2.2 is current, and level AA, with 55 success criteria, is what courts and settlements measure business websites against.67
Read the guide: WCAG 2.2 explained for business owners, with a checklist
Does the ADA apply to our website?
The Justice Department's position is that it covers websites of businesses open to the public, though it names no technical standard for them. More than 5,000 digital accessibility lawsuits were filed in the US in 2025. This is general information, not legal advice.87

We're a clinic. Is there a deadline?
If you accept federal funds such as Medicare or Medicaid, the HHS Section 504 rule requires WCAG 2.1 AA from 11 May 2027 with 15 or more employees, and from 10 May 2028 with fewer.9

Would an accessibility widget be enough?
No. A widget can't fix the code underneath the page. The FTC fined accessiBe $1 million in 2025 for claiming its widget made sites compliant, and about a quarter of 2025's website accessibility lawsuits were against sites that had one installed.1011
Read the guide: Why accessibility overlays don't make you compliant
How do you test accessibility?
Automated checks run on every page of every build, and a person tests with a keyboard and a screen reader before launch, because automated tools find only about 57% of issues. WCAG 2.2 AA is an acceptance criterion in the contract.12
Security
Is our WordPress site at risk?
If nobody updates its plugins every week, probably. 52.8% of WordPress sites run a plugin with a known vulnerability, and the median time from a vulnerability's disclosure to mass attacks is five hours.1314

What does the free scan look at, and is it safe?
Only what any visitor can see: the platform and its version, visible plugins and their known vulnerabilities, security headers, load time on a phone, and accessibility problems a machine can find. It doesn't log in, submit forms or try to break anything.
Who can sign in to edit the site?
Only the people you invite, and every account uses two-factor sign-in. The editor isn't part of the public site, so there's no login page on your domain for bots to try passwords on.
Pricing
How much does a website cost with you?
Launch is from $2,900 for up to 10 pages, Practice from $6,500 for up to 40 pages with forms, booking and locations, and Catalogue from $12,000 for hundreds of product or listing pages. Every quote is fixed after a free scan of your current site.

What does it cost each month?
Hosting on Cloudflare's free tier costs nothing. The optional Care plan is $149 a month for monitoring, monthly edits and a person on call. Typical agency care plans for WordPress run $199 to $499 a month.15
What do we get if we don't take Care?
Hosting and the visual editor stay included for as long as the site is with us, with no monthly fee. For 90 days after launch we fix anything we built that doesn't work as agreed, free, and we watch your Google rankings. After that, changes you can't make yourself and support are $95 an hour, with a half-hour minimum.
Why is the price fixed?
Because the scan tells us what your site has before we quote: its pages, forms, plugins and content. If the scope doesn't change, the price doesn't either.
Process
How long does a rebuild take?
Ten days from scan to launch for most sites: the scan and a fixed quote on day 0, content extraction and redirect mapping on days 1 and 2, the build on days 3 to 7, a private preview you can edit on day 8, and launch on day 10.
Is a site built with AI any good?
AI does the typing; people do the judgement. Every line is reviewed by a senior engineer, and Lighthouse 95+ and WCAG 2.2 AA are written into the contract as acceptance criteria. If we miss, we fix it free.
Forms, bookings, payments, shops?
Forms run on serverless functions with spam protection. Booking tools embed cleanly. For e-commerce we pair a fast storefront with Shopify or Stripe rather than rebuilding a cart.
Do we need to write new content?
No. We carry your existing content across, cleaned up. If you'd like pages rewritten, we can do that too, and you approve every word on the preview before launch.
We're on Drupal, Joomla, Wix or Squarespace. Can you move us?
Yes. The scan reads any platform. Drupal 7 and Joomla 3 and 4 no longer get security fixes, so for those sites the move is also a security fix.1617
